Villain categories

Villains can be categorized into five different subtypes, villains who: 1.) Believe they are doing the right thing (the ends justifies the means) E.g. Magneto (X-men). 2.) Are just scary and mad, or live for destruction, there's no plot nor any obvious reason for a particular target. E.g. The Joker (The Dark Knight) 3.) Seeks revenge, e.g. Khan Star Trek. 4.) Wants power (rule the world), e.g. Blofeldt (James Bond). 5.) Are henchmen, subordinates or robots. They are either without a will, do it for fun or lack of intelligence. E.g. Jaws (James Bond films).

#13 Eric Northman

Vampire villain from:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844441/
True Blood

Swedish viking vampire Eric Northman, portrayed by Alexander Skarsgård, stars in Allan Ball's TV adaptation of "Southern vampire mysteries" also called "The Sookie Stackhouse novels" by Charlaine Harris. As of yet Eric does not belong to any clear subtype, maybe a conglomeration of 2 and 4. Eric is sired by Godric, after a battle in which he was mortally wounded. Godric refers to his battle and stategic skills before making him. He has many talents one of them is multi-tasking as a bar owner/drug dealer/Sheriff. It will be interesting to follow his development and hear more background stories.

Grade = 8
